Scarab Darkroom 1.42 is a new digital camera raw file converter that supports most DSLR-s from Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, and Sony. It`s easy to use, lean, and super fast. It is still under development and currently in Beta version.

- RAW file support for over 100 different camera models
- Lightning fast conversion with excellent detail rendition using a proprietary demosaic algorithm

- Makes use of multi-core CPUs
- All editing is non-destructive
- Internally uses a custom color space, which never clamps recorded colors
- Advanced highlight recovery

- Fill light

- Brightness, contrast, black level

- Simple tone curve adjustment
- Color temperature/tint controls and possibility to pick white balance from a gray area in the picture
- Hue, saturation, vibrance
- Special sharpening algorithm, which avoids amplifying interpolation artifacts
- Cropping
- OpenGL based user interface with real-time zooming and image rotation
- Clipped highlight warning

- Real-time color adjustment preview
- Real-time RGB histogram
- Support for EXIF metadata (currently only saved to JPEG)
- Resizing of output image
- Support for Canon sRAW files
